Stained-glass Windows: Yoga Class Reading

One of my favorite memories of living in Spain when I was 16 is standing in La Sagrada Familia looking up at the stained-glass windows. For those of you who are not familiar with it La Sagrada Familia is a large Roman Catholic Church in Barcelona, Spain. It was designed by the spanish architect Antoni Gaudi in the late 1800s.  In November 2012 it was named a minor basilica due it its size and importance to Spain and the Church.

On the outside there are elaborate carvings, towering spires, and religious scenes. On the inside there are columns in the shapes of trees and branches.

I still remember entering the church, looking up and seeing the beauty of the stained-glass windows.

 People are like stained-glass windows.
They sparkle and shine when the sun is out,
But when the darkness sets in their true beauty is
Revealed only if there is a light from within.
